Growing up, my father was deeply involved in my life, as well as the lives of my siblings and the neighborhood kids. Our home was filled with love, laughter, valuable lessons, and countless unforgettable memories. His presence shaped my understanding of fatherhood as something strong, nurturing, and essential.

During the height of COVID-19, I became increasingly aware of the narrative being told about Black fathers, and it felt like it was only worsening. But I know so many incredible fathers—like my own—who are not only engaged but are the heart of their families, with stories of love, dedication, and strength that deserve to be shared.
